I have been thinking about trying to get some of my patterns published for a while and I am pleased to announce the next issue of Simply Knitting...... (The UK's Biggest Knitting Magazine) will have a pattern in by me! I am excited beyond words!!! They also choose me as their Friday recommended blog which was just amazing!

Below is a sneaky peak of the item... I hope you like it - its an old fashioned Christmas pud, that doubles up as a handy work bag.

Sorry for not posting last week - I have had the flu, and have consequently been spending my time sniffing, blowing my nose excessively loudly, and taking copious quantities of vitamin C.

I have also moved house, and although many boxes are still unpacked, we are getting there, as my mother likes to say "slowly but surely I will bring order to this chaos". So it has been a bit busy.

I have though produced the second installment in the Halloween set, I plan to get more Halloweeny as the weeks go on, today a plague of toads...boooooooo

 

I thought they would make a fun thing to give out instead of treats?

It was also my very favorite little cousins birthday - she is 13 and got this little mouse...

 

The pattern for the toads will be up tomorrow - would anyone like a pattern for the mouse or is it too simple?

It's the final countdown

I have always loved Halloween so to celebrate this year...........the Halloween Countdown. One new Halloween inspired Amigurumi a week - until Halloween. I will also make as many of the patterns as I can available free.

I am so excited!! and to kick of this challenge - Here is Falstaff a Halloween Robot.

I think he is pretty adorable? A cute little robot to be helpful around the house or to whip up cream cakes...

But my other half thinks this is the worst amigurumi I have ever made, and found poor Falstaff completely ridiculous! The laughing continued for 15 minutes... I counted.

Maybe its me? Have I had a taste bypass?

Anyway - Falstaff was very upset....

Dejected even!

I also need to apologize for being so quiet. Due to financial difficulties our landlord has to sell our flat, so we are moving again. I have been spending my evenings packing - deep joy.  I am actually quite excited though, because the new house has a large garden with an apple tree in, which will be great for Twinkle.

I have also had problems with our mobile broadband which is very slow, so I have not been able to reply to comments and to answer all the questions I would like, I am so so sorry. In the new house I will have real broadband so that will make a major difference.

I am a cheese fanatic - I love all cheese, a good mature cheddar, pungent roquefort, delightful aged gouda... but my very favorite is munster

even the name makes me go weak at the knees! munster...
