I am afraid I have no crochet to show you... I have been very naughty and my crochet hook has been collecting dust as I have been playing about in the garden and generally doing summery things.
Today I went to the West End Festival it was amazing to see the Botanic Gardens heaving with people and the parade was fascinating. I love it when women just put aside all the horrible baggage of body image and just enjoy themselves, is there anything as wonderful as the sun on your skin - drums playing whilst being surrounded by lots of happy people?
I also adored this huge caterpillar!
and human pac mans (men?)
So thats my summer fun!
----------------------------------------------------
These little fellows are part of my Steiff collection. I adore Steiff animals, particularly the tiny ones and find them an endless source of inspiration. Some of these belonged to my mother who collected them when she was young, and some are ones I hunted down on ebay.
This one is my 'very very bestest'
i'nt she cute?
What a brilliant parade! I love all the colour and fun. The wee chickee is amazingly cute. :) I've never heard of Steiff before, I shall have to investigate.

The pics of the parade are great. Looks like a fun time.
I think we all lose time for our favorite handcrafts in the summer.
Got to get outside. That's one reason I do enjoy winter. I can shovel show but thats about it. Better to stay inside with my crafts or a good book.
You're Steiff animals are darling. I only have one which was received as a gift about 50 years ago. A little sitting mouse Maybe I'll have to post a pic at my blog. Always a new idea for a post.

The parade looked like tons of fun! I think the little bird looks like something Martha Stewart had when she talked about Steiff animals!

I have a Steiff collection too! Mine started when I lived in Germany as a child. (military brat.)
I have quite a few.....unfortunately, I took the buttons off most of their ears....I was too young to know not too. I have mine on display and LOVE them. Nice to see someone else does too!
