i am 11 years old and i don't know how much i crochet and what a magic circle is. I realy want to make this bag for my parents. Please respond if you have any idea how much you have to crochet.

Allisyn

I don't get the acorn pattern. It says to use a 3.5 crochet hook. Does it mean 3.5 mm? That doesn't look right because it also says to use "Chunky Aran Yarn".

Whoever has an answer please email to cheng.faith@gmail.com

Dear Tiyi,

Guess what? I'm 12 years old! I love kids like me who crochet.

To answer your question, you need to know how to crochet in the round.

1. Make a slip knot (let's call the slip knot Fred).

2. Make 4 chains (you count the loops BELOW the loop on your hook.).

3. Single crochet into Fred (remember?) to make a BIG LOOP of chains.

4. Now this is what you want to know. The Magic Circle is when you single crochet INTO THE BIG LOOP (not the chains that you made.)

Oh yeah, the "r" at the end of each instruction means "repeat".

Anything else you need to know, email me at faithling12@yahoo.com

Acorns are my preferred "nut" What a find. I am unable to contribute to your friend at this time - my finances are spread thin but as a cancer survivor myself, I will call unity and begin a prayer call. This was done for me and was a tremendous support emotionally to know strangers cared.

I posted a link to here on my blog - I saw this pattern on Ravelry, as well as your little owl, and just adore them both. You might want to go look at my post - I thought it was funny...

I have no doubt to say that the data presented here in this report is not only interesting but useful as well. Thanks for this update.

Love It! Thank you so much.

hi, hope you dont mind me asking, but when you state to crochet under the arm of the V nearest to the edge, do i take it as crocheting into the front loops(facing out in my direction)?

OMG!! I cannot get over how cute this pattern is. I was looking for a little purse to crochet for my 2 year old dd and this should be perfect!

Also, thank you for sharing the info about your friend in need. I will most certainly spare what I can for her medical needs. You are a wonderful person.

Thanks for sharing.

Rats, I see that I'm too late to donate anything. I hope she was able to get everything she needed.

This is a gorgeous bag and I'm attempting it atm. According to the pattern, it's 9 rows for the circle and 4 for the edge, but it doesn't seem to be big enough? Is the size of the lid open for interpretation?

Anja

I love this thing so much! But maybe you can help me out with some issues.. I've made the bowl, and have just finished the lid, but it doesn't seem to fit onto the bowl? I finished with the same amount of stitches that the bowl has, so mathematically it should fit, but somehow it doesn't and I don't know where I've gone wrong. The lid is much too small, also it is kind of wavy.. any ideas? Thanks..

Thank you for another great article. Where else could anyone get that kind of information in such a perfect way of writing? I have a presentation next week, and I am on the look for such information.

I am having issues downloading this wonderful pattern. I click the link but it goes nowhere. Please help.
