Hi everyone, Thank you so much for your appreciation over the years. Just to let you know I have relaunched the Roman Sock Shop and you can now find it at romansock.com.
In the spirit of practical amigurumi, and there is nothing more delightful than something cute and practical, I thought I would solve my annoying problem of the moment with a little bit of crochet.
If I wear my ring at night, I end up scratching myself or my other half, but if I put it on my bedside table I lose it! .... What to do? Ahhh crochet....
I made this mini version of my pocket elephant pattern. I used Jaeger Silk so he is lovely and soft, but gave him a heavy weight inside so he wouldn't run away. He is teeny weeny and my ring just slips on him!
He makes a friendly additon to my bedside table
and like all elephants loves nosing about...
I hope this post is readable as typepad seems to have gone bonkers! I am off to email them to see what's up!
Oh it's freaking cute! I would want a whole herd of them wearing my rings!

OMG I love it and thank you. My sis loved elephants. I wish she were still alive to see how cute this is. I'm going to make one in her honor.

I've been making a small herd of your "regular" elephants lately. Can't seem to stop! Now I'm going to have to try a mini!

The elephant pattern is ludicrously popular with everyone I know. Soon as one comes off the hook, it gets nabbed. Maybe one day I'll get to actually keep one of the ones i make! Pink ones seem to be particularly popular.
Just to let you know, my blog got mangled by a google takeover, so the link you have will go to a very old and tired website. The new one is linked to this post.
