I spent a snuggly afternoon crocheting another tree frog and writing up the pattern. I used the same new tutorial format to update some of the other tutorials too, and I will hopefully write up the pomeranian, kitten and hippo patterns soon, in the same way. I hope that they are easy to use, please let me know if there are any problems. So voila, enjoy!
I am really struggling to find something decent to read after finishing all the Amelia Peabody's... I have been picking books up and putting them down again for days. I think I really want to be transported instantly somewhere and its just not happening.
I read the House at Riverton http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_House_at_Riverton and it was a beautiful book but somehow slightly forced. It felt very aware of itself and slightly hulking. I think I am going to try Possesion next...I am sure I will find something eventually.
It's Sunday tomorrow and, in Edinburgh, that means hordes of people will be rushing all over the city to visit flats from 2-4 during open viewings, and tomorrow I will be joining them. It is very strange experience when you end up at a few of the same flats as fellow hunters. You share a laugh, but all the while you know you may very well be facing them off in a biding war. The thing that astounds me is that, before I started looking to buy a flat, I would have never known that this Sunday afternoon frenzy was going on behind the seeming quietude of lazy, weekend Edinburgh.
What a wonderful master pieces are these small items. It shows the skill of the artist.

Love it! I'm definitely going to make one for my cousin's stepson for Christmas. I'm glad you put this pattern of these adorable guys up here. I haven't found many good frog patterns up until now. So thank you!
If you're still looking for a good series and you like some of the fantasy and magic adventure types of things, You could try Michael Scott's 'Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel' series. The last book just came out back in May, and it's actually a pretty good plot line made up by fusing actual history and ancient mythology from all over the world.
