little dragon

This little chap is made from crochet and polymer clay. It wasn’t until after I made him I realised he was a bit of a welsh dragon. We lived in Wales for a time and it was really tough, more mortgage than money - you know the score, and there are not many happy memories - but he certainly seems to brighten them up.

I had real problems getting his eyes right, I wanted them to be milky and human. So I have lots of prototypes hanging round the house, its slightly macabre.

I am an unorganised mess, and need something to keep my life in order and myself out of trouble. So in a sense this is a way to keep track of the things I make, (I am a crochet addict at the moment), the things I want to learn (I was woefully disappointed when I could only remember 35 US states, I know I am English but still, that’s an awful lot of forgetting I’ve been doing since school…) and the move from Edinburgh to somewhere yet undecided…hopefully Surrey.

Edinburgh is beautiful, and considerably more so because of the presence of my other half - Ms Sock and our little bumble dog.

So this is sunny Edinburgh today...
